North Macedonia has much to offer as a place to study - courses geared to international needs, internationally recognised qualifications such as Bachelor and Master, a credit system which allows the accumulation and transfer of study and exam modules. Additionally, a foreign student looking to study in North Macedonia are not required to speak the native language.
At university in North Macedonia, students will pay an application fee to apply of about 200 €. For undergraduate students, the cost of study is about 5000 € per year. Those working towards MSc and MA degrees will pay 8000 € per year. At the PhD level, costs range from 10,000 € up to 20,000 € annually. Most of the Goverment Universities don’t charge tuition fee & some charge as low as 500 Euro-1500 Euro Per semester-Private universities charge tuition fee from 7000 Euro – 10,000 Euro Per Year Very Low Tuition Fee.
EU/EEA/Swiss citizens are not required to obtain a visa but need to register with the local authorities within 90 days of their arrival. Generally, all non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens must hold a student visa along with a residence permit. The visa has to be obtained before traveling to North Macedonia. Upon arrival in North Macedonia, you are able to apply for a residence permit.
